The Primary Therapist will provide quality direct and indirect patient care to individuals with co-occurring disorders including history of trauma. Provide individual counseling services to clients with co-occurring disorders. Provide group psycho-education. Conduct assessments to document history and identify preliminary issues for treatment. Provide group and family therapies using various professional treatment modalities. Conduct assessments and develop treatment plans.
Provides Crisis Intervention, assessing client and providing therapeutic interventions, making appropriate referral for service. Performs documentation activities in a timely and accurate fashion adhering to State and Local Licensing laws well as policy requirements regarding the format of documentations. Works with staff, clients and others in a professional, cooperative, ethical, respectful and effective manner. Participates in training and development for professional growth and skill enhancement. Develop and deliver community education programs to enhance community awareness of mental health/D&A issues and resources available to address these issues.
MSW with a minimum of 2 years’ experience providing therapy/counseling. Inpatient experience, preferred. Must be able to address and prioritize multiple task demands within established time frame with experience working with adult drug and alcohol population. Good written and oral communication skills; skills in case management, time management, and crisis intervention; skills in provision of group and individual psychotherapy; skills in maintaining information as highly confidential.
