The IOP Counselor will provide comprehensive supportive services for individuals in the LGBTQ population who are struggling with substance abuse concerns. The position will be a mix of clinical, administrative and support tasks within the IOP program including, but not limited to: obtaining authorizations for initial and continued stay, screening and completing intake assessments, supporting the lead IOP therapist in group work and collateral family therapy, providing individual therapy and facilitating discharge and aftercare planning. The IOP counselor will be expected to be grounded in a recovery-oriented approach.
PA LSW or LCSW – Professional and/or lived experience in the substance use field preferred. Direct human service experience (IOP/inpatient setting preferred). Demonstrated knowledge of best practices for working with LGBTQ youth and adults including diverse gender and sexual identities.
